Overview

The Benefits & HR Compliance Analyst is responsible for the execution of benefit programs, coordination of employee leave processes, and ensuring HR compliance across multiple states. The role works closely with Payroll, HR, and Operations to maintain accurate employee data, complete regulatory reporting, and strengthen HR processes. In addition, the Analyst partners with the HR Manager and senior HR leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and support process enhancement and complex issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration of benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits and company benefits.
  • Validate eligibility, enrollment accuracy, and employee status changes in coordination with benefits vendors.
  • Assist with benefits audits, billing reviews, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Support employee communications related to benefits, open enrollment, and plan updates.
  • Assist leave of absence programs, including:
    • FMLA
    • State-specific leave programs (e.g., CA PDL/CFRA, NY Paid Leave)
    • Company leave programs
  • Ensure timely communication, documentation collection, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required federal and state HR compliance reports, including:
    • EEO-1
    • BLS wage and employment reports
    • ACA reporting support and data validation
  • State unemployment documentation and audits.
  • Monitor changes in HR regulations and support updates to company practices.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and ensure adherence with legal requirements across states.
  • Support responses to regulatory agencies and audits.
  • Assist with HR initiatives related to automation, documentation improvements, and process optimization.
  • Support the creation of recurring HR reports such as headcount, turnover and benefits utilization of dashboards.
  • Compile and prepare employee information and documentation for legal matters, audits, and official requests.
  • Support the timely processing of the Field Bonus process.
  • Maintain structured archival systems for compliance and historical HR records.
  • Assist with HR Projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, HR compliance, or HR operations.
  • Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now highly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of HR compliance areas such as FMLA, EEO, ACA, and multi-state regulations.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical processes.
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Pay Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
